Escape the British weather for a life in the sun on this tropical island paradise.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work on a tropical island? Our client has a modern, well facilitated practice in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia. This is a beautifully refurbished, 3 doctor practice on a large island in tropical North Queensland. They are very busy and need another full time permanent GP to meet current patient demand.
The practice was fully renovated 3 years ago and has 5 spacious consulting rooms, each with a window and natural light. They also have a dedicated room for minor surgery, a nurse’s treatment room, Allied Health Room, Pathology room, onsite parking, room controlled ‘aircon’, natural lighting to each consult room, and a staff room with a fully equipped kitchen.
The surgery consulting hours are Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm.
The island has a permanent population of over 2,000 approximately made up of a mix of families and retirees, but the population can double in the tourist season and com, which can double in the tourist season
There is an equal proportion of chronic disease management, everyday medicine and mental health patients. Despite the small population of the island its unique demographics mean the surgery is kept very busy all year round.
They are a mixed billings practice and doctors there see 25-30 patients per day.
Tropical North Queensland fits in more untouched beauty, ancient culture and adventure within its borders than some entire countries manage to do, with the World Heritage-listed double-act of the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest its most prized stars.
