Reporting to the Executive Director you will provide advice and support on critical medical matters across the service, providing leadership and management of the interdisciplinary Public Health Unit group. You will contribute to state-wide public health and local health service strategic planning, leading public health planning processes.
Further, your responsibilities will also include leadership and management of the Communicable Disease Control unit, providing clinical advice pertaining to communicable diseases, epidemiological collection and analysis.
You will be able to lead and manage a busy multidisciplinary public health team, including clinical management, of communicable disease prevention and control programs. As well as the coordination, planning and support of immunisation programs. You will also have first class skills in planning and implementing public health programs. Applicants with an understanding of indigenous health, culture and communication will be highly regarded.
