An opportunity exists for an experienced Director Clinical Services Mental Health to join the South West Region Mental Health team based in Bunbury, Western Australia.

The Role
You will have a primary responsibility for clinical governance and leadership in relation to clinical service delivery. You will provide line management for medical staff and work with budget holders to ensure appropriate allocation of staff to sites and services. In partnership with the Mental Health management team, you will ensure strategic development, coordination, integration, monitoring and evaluation of the WACHS – SW Mental Health service. The preferred clinical component of the position will be 0.5FTE, but this can be negotiated. 

Requirements
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand.

  • Minimum of 3 years Consultant/Specialist level work experience.
  • A minimum of 6 months in a formal training post in Child and Adolescent psychiatry in your basic or advanced training (if not FRANZCP).
  • Post graduate qualifications in health service management desirable, as is experience working in a rural or remote environment.
