The Role
As a senior member of the General Medicine team, you will provide clinical expertise to adult medical patients at Mount Gambier Hospital. This will include the oversight and management of both inpatients and outpatients, along with providing clinical leadership in the care of adult patients. You will also provide supervision of all clinical practices of junior medical staff, as well as undertaking active engagement in the education of all health staff affiliated with the service. Actively engaging in Continuous Quality Improvement activities, including clinical audit and morbidity and mortality review, you will represent other medical staff on hospital and regional committees as required and have an active personal engagement in continuing education initiatives.
Requirements
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand.

Services and facilities include: Emergency Department, Medical Unit including rehabilitation beds, Surgical Unit, Maternity Unit with 3 birthing suites, Neonatal Nursery, Paediatric Unit, High Dependency Unit, Day Surgery and 4 Operating Theatres.
