This is a full-time position for a Rheumatologist to take up a joint academic and clinical post in Dunedin. Clinical duties are based at Dunedin Hospital and you will join a team of seven part-time Rheumatologists and participate in a 1:4 on call roster. The academic aspect necessitates the successful applicant to hold an academic qualification and possess prior experience in teaching and research. Academic duties are based in the Department of Medicine and you will be appointed to the role of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. The Rheumatologist research unit is located within the department of medicine and you will join a supportive and collaborative team. The team consists of a research nurse, doctoral and post- doctoral students and Rheumatology Academic colleagues. You will be responsible for teaching undergraduates and post graduates, with unlimited access to laboratory and clinical based research.
Experience within clinic-based ultrasound would be advantageous as the clinic has an ultrasound machine.
