I am urgently looking for a Consultant Neonatologist/Paediatrician to work in a unique medical facility that focuses exclusively on women's health. The dedicated team of highly trained and experienced medical professionals provide the highest quality of care using state-of-the-art equipment, techniques and technology in an environment designed to maximise comfort. As this is a new service, the successful applicant should be willing to help build the practice clientele.
The Role
The Neonatologist/Paediatrician's primary responsibilities will include three roles; Specializing in caring for newborn babies, particularly those who are ill or born prematurely; Antenatal consultation for women with certain risk factors, such as multiple births; Paediatric services with caring for infants, children, and adolescents. The Neonatologist will assist with maintaining and developing the patient services of OceanMed.
The Consultant will be required to work a minimum of 45 hours in a standard working week, however, due to the nature of your profession you may be required to attend to patients outside normal office hours; including weekends and holidays when required or scheduled. Working hours will generally be Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturdays 8am -1pm, however these are subject to change.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Medical Degree with full registration in Neonatology with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a NICU.
- Applicants must be fully registered as a Health Practitioner in Australia, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, or United States of America and hold a valid qualification/licence.
- Applicant must be registerable with the Medical and Dental Council of the Cayman Islands

The Clinic is based in George Town, the capital of Grand Cayman and is the largest of the three Cayman Islands. Stunning Seven Mile Beach is it's crown jewel with a range of water sports and beachfront resorts. Besides basking on the island's powdery shores, other popular things to do include swimming with stingrays, diving, snorkeling, hiking, duty free shopping and escaping to the islands tranquil East End.
