Consultant in Interventional Radiology
A permanent job is available for a Consultant in Interventional Radiology to work with my client in York. Previous experience at Consultant level is highly desirable and you should hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, or equivalent. GMC registration is essential, with specialist registration or a commitment to fulfilling the CESR requirements to achieve this while in post. Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including a police check.
You will work full time and join a 1:6 on call rota; if you would like to discuss working less than full time hours then please get in touch. Certain clinical skills are essential and these are listed below; you will be required to provide a logbook of practical procedures also:
- Vascular
- peripheral vascular disease
- venous and arterial thrombolysis
- IVC filter insertion
- GI bleed and other embolization
- Acute EVAR
- Haemodialysis fistula intervention
- Non vascular
- Nephrostomy/ureteric stent
- Biopsies (liver, kidney)
- Drainage (US and CT guided) including chest drains
- Hickman line insertion
- Diagnostic
- CTA / Vascular CT interpretation
- MRA interpretation/reporting
- Vascular ultrasound familiarity (desirable)
- Ability to contribute to MDT
