Head Medical have a new opportunity available for a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to work in the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital (QEQM) based in East Kent.
If successful you will join a vibrant department, admitting around 1,000 patients each year. Many are admitted after suffering an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and in cardiogenic shock, allowing our clinicians to use their strong clinical expertise in echocardiography and point of care ultrasonography.
The unit is equipped with the latest technology, including echocardiography equipment and Intellivent Adaptive Support Ventilation. The department has a strong reputation for ultrasound and echocardiography training, and a burgeoning research portfolio.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Specialist Registration with the GMC (or be eligible within 6 months of interview via CCT.
- Previous NHS experience at Consultant level.
- FRCA.
Salary will follow NHS pay scales and be from £84,559 up to £114,003 dependent on experience. This job is subject to a police check. Those requiring Tier 2 visas will be considered as well as those looking for part time.
