A Fantastic opportunity has become available for a Consultant in General Medicine with a special interest in Care of the Elderly in the beautiful location of West Wales on a 12 month contract - salaried basis.
You will join a team of Consultants who cover both general and specialist areas of care of the elderly medicine. You will be responsible for the general care of the patients within the department, in addition to acting as a lead in the development and support of the specialist services.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop and enhance the existing service and also to play a significant part in the development of both integrated and specialist elderly care in this region. A key responsibility will be the display of effective leadership in setting direction for junior doctors. They also run a successful Consultant Development and Mentoring Scheme.
This is a full time opportunity which is a twelve month contract initially, with the opportunity to apply for a substantive post once the 12 months is up if you so wish. This is a salaried post with the pay depending on level of experience.

You will have GMC registration with a current licence to practice, However if you need your GMC reinstated or you are due to complete GMC registration in the near future, I would still like to hear from you. If you are from outside the EEA you will need to at least have a date set for your PLAB 2 exam.
