Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry - England
This is an exciting time to be joining the Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.
An excellent opportunity within the Trust is available for a Consultant based within the General Adult Service, additional requirements include Consultants in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry and Consultants in Older Adult Psychiatry.
The post holder will principally provide leadership and senior medical input to the Avondale Unit. As the Consultant Psychiatrist at Avondale you will work as part of a confident and developed clinical MDT in the Mental Health Decisions Unit working with people during the first seven days of admission. The Decisions Unit at Avondale has 14 beds providing acute mental health care for men and women as an integral part of the Urgent Care Pathway including Mental Health Response (Crisis) and Home Based Treatment you will be working as part of a wider team helping people return home as soon as possible or for those who require longer stays in hospital to transfer to one of our 3 treatment units.

International candidates who are eligible for medical registration with the UK General Medical Council are of interest, and visa sponsorship will be possible. The department will support those experienced Consultants who wish to take the CESR route to specialist registration.
