Head Medical are excited to be working with East Kent Hospitals to secure a Consultant in Emergency Medicine to work within a passionate and forward-thinking team based at the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital (QEQM).
This exciting opportunity is on offer on a full-time basis with the option of a 10 or 12 PA job plan, including flexible shift rota between 08:00 – 22:00 weekdays and 8 hours at weekends. Discussions can be held for specific individual requirements, including the ability to have fixed weekdays off or part time positions. The Emergency Medicine Consultants are supported by an EM workforce consisting of 25 Middle Grade/Speciality Doctors, in addition to higher trainees (2) and ACCS posts (4).

With a recent investment of £6.2m in improvements as well as a new medical school opening in the area soon offering a 100 training places per year, now is a great time to join the team.
If successful you will be joining a hospital that is supportive of all staff and aids those looking for the CESR route as well as cohorts of trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners supported by the Acute Care Nurse Consultants.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligible for registration within 6 months of interview.
- Hold Specialist Registration with the GMC or hold the relevant experience at Consultant level.
- FRCEM or equivalent.
Salary will follow NHS pay scales and be from £82,096 up to £110,683 dependent on experience. This job is subject to a police check. Those requiring Tier 2 visas will be considered as well as those looking for part time.
