The local health service needs an experienced Consultant Haematologist to deliver first class patient care that includes the medical assessment and management of patients. You will provide a consultation and admission service at the hospital as well as initiate teaching and research opportunities.
The hospital itself is a regional teaching facility with an expanding junior doctor training curriculum and extremely strong links to top tier hospitals in the state. Further, the hospital and regional medical school have a very good student program for 4 major universities. The Oncology unit has an excellent reputation and provides in excess of 5000 services in a 6 month period to haematology patients.
You will be working within a multidisciplinary team context and your ability to work within a team environment is critical to your success in this position.
Applicants should have FRACP (or be awarded Fellowship within 3 months) or have completed comparable specialist training in another country.
