This job presents an unprecedented lifestyle opportunity for FRACPs or overseas trained haematologists seeking to relocate to Australia.

You will be working and living in arguably one of the most beautiful regions in Australia. Sensational surfing beaches, rainforests, waterfalls, hiking and MTB trails will attract. As will the close to subtropical climate - perfect for lush gardens and growing amazing produce. There are large iconic towns in this region with a choice which has 2 domestic airports and 1 international airport within driving distance.

There is a diverse mix of schooling options. A huge choice of private schooling exists - faith based or independent, including Steiner schools. Government schooling - especially primary level - is excellent.

The local health service needs an experienced Consultant Haematologist to deliver first class patient care that includes the medical assessment and management of patients. You will provide a consultation and admission service at the hospital as well as initiate teaching and research opportunities.

The hospital itself is a regional teaching facility with an expanding junior doctor training curriculum and extremely strong links to top tier hospitals in the state. Further, the hospital and regional medical school have a very good student program for 4 major universities. The Oncology unit has an excellent reputation and provides in excess of 5000 services in a 6 month period to haematology patients.

You will be working within a multidisciplinary team context and your ability to work within a team environment is critical to your success in this position.

Applicants should have FRACP (or be awarded Fellowship within 3 months) or have completed comparable specialist training in another country.
