We are seeking a Geriatrician to be based in New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington.
You will be based in a state-of-the-art tertiary hospital, renowned for its teaching and research opportunities, whilst embracing the famous Kiwi lifestyle with your family in a vibrant and cosmopolitan city downunder.

The Role
The service is currently undergoing a huge change and shift in the way its delivers its specialist services, adopting the innovative and internationally renowned acute geriatric service called CAREFul.
We are therefore looking for someone who is up to date on recent developments within health of older people and is passionate about maintaining strong links with Emergency and Acute Medicine, as well as local GPs and community services. You will have broad experience and skills in Geriatric Medicine, as well as experience and a commitment to teaching and supervising junior doctors.

As well as a competitive salary, there are additional allowances for call back and availability and Continuing Medical Education (CME), 30 days annual leave plus 10 days CME leave on top on your base salary.
If not already registered with MCNZ, the medical registration process is straightforward for those from a highly comparable country, so your availability to commence mid to late 2017 will be viewed favourably.
