We have a unique opportunity for highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic Adult Emergency Medicine Consultants, with an interest in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, to join a state-of-the-art academic medical centre that will function to the highest level of international standards.  

Our client, a newly built, ultra-modern clinical and research facility in Qatar, is looking for Emergency Medicine Consultants to join as soon as possible.

The inpatient facility opened in the first quarter of 2018.  It's mission is to provide world class maternity care for between 6,000 and 10,000 deliveries per year, as well as full service paediatric sub-specialty care for the children of Qatar. 

Job Summary

The ED Consultant is responsible for the delivery of high quality evidence-based care; effective and efficient diagnosing, managing and treating all patients placed under the role holder’s care. The Emergency Medicine Consultant makes recommendations, orders appropriate therapeutics and diagnostics as per the patient’s diagnosed condition. The Emergency Medicine Consultant is also responsible for providing guidance to less experienced colleagues.  

Qualifications and Experience required

  • MD Degree or equivalent;

  • Completion of a residency program with specialty experience or training in Emergency Medicine from an accredited Western Board;

  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine;

  • Completion of a Fellowship in Paediatric Emergency Medicine would be desirable;

  • A minimum of 2 years' of post certification / residency in clinical care or education in the relevant field;

  • Research, Education or Administration experience;

  • Valid professional license in the country of origin or country of practice in the specialty area;
