We're seeking a Consultant in Emergency medicine for a busy ED in southern Queensland, located just 90 minutes from Brisbane, which sees approx 53,000 presentations per annum.
- Remuneration up to AUD$413,410 pa, dependant on experience
- 53,000 presentations, 24% paediatric pa, 34% admission rate
- Trauma patients are regularly received at the ED
- Enjoys close links to the Life Flight team (aero-medical retrieval)

The Hospital
The Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service, of which Toowoomba Hospital is the major hospital with over 320 beds, provides a comprehensive range of high-quality acute, sub-acute, mental health, drug and alcohol, oral health, residential aged care, and community health services. They deliver clinical services to a regional population of approx 300,000, which continues to grow. Spanning 90,000 square kilometres, the catchment area includes both large and small rural community settings and the Hospital is the major regional centre providing a comprehensive range of specialist consultative services to all these surrounding districts.
There is a strong commitment to medical education and continuing professional development, and the Hospital and Health Service has a major teaching role, with active clinical training programmes in place at both undergraduate and postgraduate level for the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
