We are working with Hutt Valley District Health Board (HVDHB) to find an experienced Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist, on a full-time basis, to be based in Lower Hutt, just 15-20 mins drive from Wellington city centre.

- Permanent or fixed term (12 months minimum) position, commencing 2018
- FRANZCR or equivalent specialist qualifications
- Broad range of diagnostic skills, along with some interventional skills, is ideal

As a “generalist” radiologist, you will have broad clinical skills and experience across Radiology along with a sound understanding of contemporary models of care; proven leadership skills and experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment; an interest in medical education and teaching, including providing supervision and education to medical students, registrars and other clinical staff; and of course, a commitment and willingness to be involved in ongoing quality improvement programmes.
You will be able to perform a broad range of Medical Imaging procedures, including (but not limited to):
- General Radiology
- Ultrasound, CT
- Barium studies, Fluoroscopy
- Angiography and Interventional studies
- Mammography and Scintigraphy

- Total package circa NZ$180,000 - $300,000 pa, depending on level of experience
- Includes base salary range NZ$158,141 - $230,000 pa (£82,700 - £120,000) depending on level of experience

Hutt Valley District Health Board has a catchment area of approx 145,000 incorporating of Hutt City (Lower Hutt), Upper Hutt, Petone, Wainuiomata and Eastbourne.

Requirement for this role
Ideally you will hold FRANZCR and full Vocational registration with Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
Alternatively, if not NZ trained or based, you will hold equivalent specialist qualifications from either UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada or USA that will enable Provisional Vocational (long term) registration or Locum Tenens (short term up to 12 months) registration. These are the specialist pathways for medical registration in NZ for Radiologists and we can assist with medical registration and work visa applications, if you are successfully appointed.
