Consultant Anaesthetist + Intensive Care – Permanent Opportunity in the Scottish Borders 
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Intensive Care to work on a permanent basis in the beautiful Scottish Borders. Situated in a stunning area of natural beauty with excellent access to a range of outdoor pursuits, and just one hour from Edinburgh City/Airport. A flexible working pattern or part time working will be considered.
Working as a Consultant Anaesthetist you will contribute fully to elective and emergency duties of the Department and may have the opportunity to develop a special interest. This is a great opportunity to join an excellent hospital who focus on putting the patients first.
You will share the work load of the other Consultant Anaesthetists providing anaesthetic services for general surgery (including paediatrics), urology, orthopaedic trauma surgery, gynaecology, dental and oral surgery, ENT and ophthalmology, and cover for an anaesthetic-led Pre-operative assessment Clinic. On-call duties currently include cover for the Intensive Care Unit.
This is ideally a full time appointment with 10 PAs required per week, however a Consultant Anaesthetist seeking part time hours may be considered so please get in touch to discuss the details.
You will be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of anticipated award of CCT/CESR.
