This is a great opportunity to take on a Staff Specialist/Consultant Anaesthetist role in a lovely part of central Queensland.

The Role
This role will afford you the opportunity to provide safe, high quality anaesthetic clinical services and assist in the provision of direction, service planning and clinical governance to the Anaesthetic Team, Pre-Admission Clinic and the High Dependency Unit. Oversight of unit staff including GP Anaesthetists will be a part of the role.

Provision of the full range of anaesthetic services including general and regional anaesthesia, obstetric services including epidural/spinal anaesthesia. You will also participate in the out of hours on call roster that covers the Gladstone Hospital.

Requirements
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand.

The Hospital and Location
Gladstone Hospital is at present a regional hospital with a total capacity of 100 beds and treatment spaces, offering a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics.

Gladstone Hospital is growing and has at present approximately 298 full time equivalent staff delivering services across acute, community and primary care.
