The Role
This is an exciting new role in a new purpose built private mental health service and clinic boasting state of the art technology. This is an exciting new role in a new purpose built private mental health service and clinic boasting state of the art technology. The clinic will open in January 2023, operating with 45 beds initially and expanding to 75 beds later in the year. The innovative clinic will focus is on Wellness and recovery, utilising holistic care models and therefore, you should possess contemporary experience working in an adult inpatient mental health setting.
This is a diverse role where you will hold responsibility for patient safety and quality of care through planning, coordinating, facilitating, and evaluating the delivery of care. Therefore, knowledge and experience in the Quality Improvement cycle as well as patient safety initiatives are essential. You should also possess experience of evidence -based nursing care within a mental health setting along with excellent communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will promote a supportive, and collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment and provide exemplary patient care. You will also undertake clinical co-ordination of shifts under the direction of the nursing manager and participate on after-hours/weekend roster if required.

Requirements:

You have completed your nursing qualification in a competent authority country (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, UK and USA).

Post graduate qualifications in Mental Health or progress towards

Meet the English Language criteria as prescribed by the Nursing and Midwifery Board (AHPRA)
