This is a great opportunity for a FRANZCP qualified consultant Psychiatrist to head a Public Mental Health facility in metropolitan Perth whilst continuing to work clinically in your chosen sub specialty (general adult, emergency mental health care, older persons or consultation liaison psychiatry)
Remuneration: Up to $460k+
This is a new hospital facility and within there is a a 25-bed Adult Acute Mental Health Unit, a 15 bed secure mental health unit and a 15 bed older persons unit.
Services include: adult & older inpatients, adult and older persons emergency and emergency care for children and adolescents.
Your job scope as Clinical Director will include:
- Providing first class clinical leadership to ensure the safe delivery of mental health care.
- Provide strategic leadership, particularly in respect to service development and in delivering admitted and non-admitted services.
- You will be FRANZCP and have sound experience in providing first class care to high acuity patients within a hospital context.
- You must be able to demonstrate clinical leadership in a similar context and have the ability to manage change which improves patient safety and reduces delays etc.
- Be an advocate for CPD for yourself and for all in the department.
- Be an advocate and deliverer of teaching and research.
