Head Medical are pleased to be assisting in the recruitment of a Registered Nurse to work within a community hospital based on the Island of Alderney.
Alderney is one of the smaller Channel Islands at just 3 miles long and 1 ½ miles wide. It has a diverse landscape which enables wildlife and different habitats to flourish, from rich farmland to sandy beaches there is something for everyone to enjoy. Alderney has a number of designated nature reserves which helps to preserve the important habitats found around the island.
The hospital in Alderney has 8 acute care beds, 14 elderly care and a minor injuries room. Your duties and responsibilities will include participating in the supervision and professional development of qualified and unqualified nursing staff. You will work in all areas of the hospital covering acute care, elderly care and minor injuries. The post holder will be expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Job requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
- Current registration with the NMC
- Proficient in basic life support
- Excellent clinical skills
