We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty’s largest employers with over 4000 staff.
About the Role
An opportunity exists for a Specialist Anaesthetist to join the department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management at Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty.
These positions are based at Whakatāne with a commitment to services across the Bay of Plenty, including Tauranga Hospital. There are two full time positions available working 80 hours per fortnight across Monday to Friday.
You will join a department and location that is experiencing growth. We are looking for team members that are enthusiastic about providing care for all age groups, including afterhours and an interest in acute care.

The successful applicant must hold qualifications that meet the criteria for vocational registration or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
