Ideally the DMS wants a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Consultant) Orthopaedic Surgeon to start work asap - within 6 months. Surgeons who are registered in Australia and currently based there, with fellowship will be given priority naturally, however medical practioners currently in locum positions internationally who have completed specialist training in UK,Eire, NZ, USA, Canada or South Africa and can mobilise to work within Australia within 6 months are also encouraged to apply.
As an Orthopaedic Surgeon, the job itself has great earning potential, with a remuneration package of up to AU$424,000 EXCLUDING overtime and oncall allowances and super.
