The Role
Due to patient demand we're recruiting for an experienced General Practitioner to join a GP owned and managed medical centre in the Wollongong area..
The practice is very established and is located in a busy shopping centre. The practice is fully bulk billing, and currently has 8 full time doctors and a 2 bed treatment room, pathology, pharmacy and dental clinic with visiting allied health professionals to include podiatrist, psychologist and dietician. Doctors are supported by full time registered nurses who assists with triage, experienced practice manager and reception staff. The practice hold monthly clinical meetings for staff and the Medicare local hold weekly meetings.
The practice is fully modernised and computerised.
Opening hours are:
- Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm
- Saturday 8.30 -4pm and Sunday 9am - 4pm.
On offer-
- 65% billings in year 1 rising to 70% in year 3
- 2 year contract minimum
- $120ph minimum hourly guarantee for first 2 months
- 1 weekend shift per month
- Assistance with accommodation provided for arrival
To be considered for this position you must have MRCGGP and PMETB/JCPTGP or FRACGP or equivalent.
The Location
Wollongong lies 50 miles south of Sydney and has an approximate population of 300,000. The city has beautiful beaches with a dramatic backdrop of green and sandstone of the Illawarra Escarpment.
It’s the third largest city in NSW, has a multi-cultural history and is a University town, adding to its international feel and cosmopolitan outlook, with people from over 100 countries having made their home there.
The variety of restaurants, theatres, cinemas, pubs and clubs make for an active nightlife while the art galleries, museums, botanic gardens, beaches and activities offer plenty to do during the day.
