Gemma BrydonAs a graduate of Northumbria University, Gemma started her career in recruitment with a national recruitment firm in 2004, and went on to spend two years with the company providing administrative and resourcing support, alongside the coordination of two major client contracts.

She then embarked on a period of independent worldwide travel, taking in various countries, including New Zealand and Australia, where she had the opportunity to live and work in Melbourne, whilst taking in all that Australia had to offer.

On her return to the UK, Gemma returned to her previous employer before relocating to Aberdeen and assuming a role with an independent recruitment consultancy, working with HR Professionals. She also undertook the CIPD’s Certificate in Personnel Practice during this period, successfully achieving a Merit pass in July 2008.

Gemma then made the decision to relocate to Edinburgh and after registering with Head Resourcing as a candidate herself was excited at the opportunity to join Head Medical and to be able to utilise her own skills and experiences in providing support to health professionals in the realisation of both career and lifestyle goals.

Gemma is responsible for supporting our doctors with their medical registration and visa applications in New Zealand and works closely with them to provide support in every aspect of the relocation process. She is a licensed immigration adviser with the Immigration Advisers Authority in New Zealand and is licensed to provide advice in relation to temporary work and visitors visas, as well as permanent residency applications via the Skilled Migrant Category.
