Bay of Plenty
The bay of Plenty is a large indentation in the northern coast of New Zealand’s North Island. It stretches from the Coromandel Peninsula to Cape Runaway in the East. It is a wide stretch of 260km. There are several large islands in the bay.
The regions main centre is Tauranga with coastal suburbs of Mount Maunganui and Papamoa. This area has long been a popular tourist destination with it being the holiday of choice for Kiwis and visitors to New Zealand alike.
There are many activities which you can take part in your spare time such as white-water rafting, kayaking, dolphin encounters, jet boating plus skydiving, scenic flights, golf courses, gardens and museums.
The general cost of living is slightly lower in Tauranga than in other big cities in New Zealand
