Anna is a Psychology Graduate from the University of Edinburgh, who joined the UK recruitment industry in 2000. In 2005 , based in the amazing Australian city of Sydney, Anna started recruiting Doctors for Australia & NZ. During this time she formed strong working relationships with employers and worked with many doctors to help them to identify suitable career and lifestyle opportunities. In 2007 Anna made a decision to return home to Scotland however prior to this enjoyed almost a year long sabbatical, going around the world and visiting 19 countries, across three continents including touring NZ & Australia where in many of the areas she visited she had recruited a number of the doctors.
Upon returning to Scotland Anna was keen to continue working with the hospitals she had previously worked so closely with and there was a clear opportunity for a UK based company, with expert knowledge of the Australian & NZ jobs market, to assist the many UK Doctors interested in international opportunities. Anna joined Head Resourcing to set up Head Medical as a Division of the established Scottish Consultancy in September 2008 and since then Head Medical has grown into a strong and experienced team with a unique mix of recruitment, HR, Immigration and Australasian experience. Having now helped hundreds of doctors and their families to make a move overseas, Anna continues to enjoy helping doctors to achieve both career and lifestyle goals in beautiful and interesting locations. It has also been a real pleasure to see the business and the team grow whilst also staying true to the original principles of simple, personal and excellent service and expert knowledge. Out of work Anna is kept busy with travelling (mainly a little closer to home these days), spending time with friends and family and walking the Scoottish coast with her Bernese Mountain Dog Holly and Black Labrador Buddy.
