The Better Life Index by the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

The Better Life Index by the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

06 Jul 2011

Australia and New Zealand are very popular destinations for both vsitors and migrants, keen to experience the beautiful landscapes, exciting cities, warm weather, beaches, and in general a better way of  life. A current study undertaken but the Organisation for Economic Cooperation (OECD), now fully supports people’s opinions that there is a ‘Better Life’ down under.  The Better Life Index compiled by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) ranks Australia as Number 1 from their index, also New Zealand as Number 4. The index allows you to compare well-being across countries, based on the following:

  • Housing
  • Income
  • Jobs
  • Community
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Governance
  • Health
  • Life Satisfaction
  • Safety
  • Work / life Balance

Australia and New Zealand have ranked highly in these topics to be in the top 4 countries of the 34 that the OECD have used for the Better Life Index.
