Head Resourcing tops chart of fastest growing recruiters

Great news! The Head Resourcing Group (our parent) has topped the chart of the 2012 Recruiter Fast 50 (the 50 fastest growing staffing companies in the UK).
The award is recognition of the Group’s extensive growth between 2008 and 2010 when we more than trebled turnover from £10m to £36m. Turnover for 2011 is in the region of £46m.
In an interview with Recruiter magazine Gordon Adam, Head Resourcing’s CEO, said:
Recruitment is about solving problems as they come along, it’s about being honest and straight. We don’t call our consultants sales people. People who join us from other recruitment companies say we are breath of fresh air. It comes down to ‘filling not billing’. The growth and the billing will take care of itself if we do the right thing by our customers and staff.
The main thing is about respect, respecting our staff, making sure they are looked after, motivated and feel cared for. It is not just about the money machine. We will take a long-term view with people and look at things from the employee’s point of view rather than the company’s. Adam says one of his proudest achievements is that the company has only lost five consultants to competitors since it first opened its doors 11 years ago. “We try to look at the business as a family rather than a hard sales business.” And expanding on the company/ family theme, he adds: “Not everyone gets on with their brothers and sisters, but we work at it and we look after each other, and that is something I think we are pretty good at.”
