Head Medical’s Gemma Brydon achieves New Zealand IAA Licensing

10 Jun 2010

We are pleased to announce that Regulatory Consultant, Gemma Brydon, has been entered onto the register of licensed immigration advisers after rigorous assessment by the Immigration Advisers Authority in New Zealand.

As of the 4th May 2010, it became mandatory for all advisers providing advice about New Zealand immigration matters to be licensed. This mandatory licensing policy was introduced to provide greater protection for migrants; to promote and protect their interests and to ensure that they have confidence in the standard of immigration advice they receive.

Applicants for licensing are asked to complete an evidence-based assessment process, based around seven core competencies: relevant qualifications, knowledge of immigration advisers licensing scheme, knowledge of immigration law and policy in New Zealand, ability to lodge applications and appeals, English language proficiency, professional, ethical and responsible business practices and maintenance of professional development activities.

This qualification reinforces the professional standards of Head Medical’s employees who provide candidates with expert advice and are confident in dealing with clients from around the world. Head Medical is continually committed to the development of its staff and the provision of an excellent service to doctors.
