The Health Board Mental Health Services Group is the largest Mental Health Service in New Zealand and serves a total catchment area of 3,000 square kilometres. They employ approximately 1,350 multidisciplinary staff and provide the following services:
• District Mental Health Services
• Maori Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Services
• Pacific Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Services
• Regional Forensic Psychiatry Services
• Regional Work Rehabilitation Service
• Community Alcohol and Drug Services, Auckland (CADS)
We are currently recruiting Consultant Psychiatrists to work in Adult Mental Health. There are opportunities within the Community Mental Health Teams, offering community based services and, within in-patient teams, based at one of the two modern in-patient units in the district.
